Sound Familiar?

You don’t feel normal. You’re not imagining it.

If you have been brushed off with “your labs look fine,” you already know the feeling. Here is what we hear every day.

“Your labs are normal”

You were sent home with no answers, even though you clearly do not feel well.

Seven-minute appointments

No time to explain, no time to dig. You leave with a prescription, not a plan.

Tired, foggy, and stuck

Low energy, stubborn weight, bad sleep, and the sense that something is off.

A cabinet full of supplements

You have tried the internet’s advice. None of it was built around your actual biology.

Here, you get a different answer: we find the why before we treat the what.

What 100+ biomarkers actually means

The labs your PCP probably did not run.

Conventional bloodwork covers about a dozen markers. Our baseline panel runs through seven layers of root-cause data, every visit, no upcharge for the depth.

Thyroid (full panel)

TSH, Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3, TPO, Tg antibodies.

Sex & adrenal hormones

Estradiol, progesterone, testosterone (total & free), DHEA-S, AM cortisol, SHBG.

Metabolic & insulin

HbA1c, fasting insulin, HOMA-IR, advanced lipids, ApoB, Lp(a).

Inflammatory markers

hs-CRP, ESR, homocysteine, ferritin, fibrinogen.

Micronutrients

RBC magnesium, zinc, copper, iron studies, B12, folate, 25-OH Vitamin D, omega-3 index.

Gut & microbiome

GI-MAP DNA stool analysis, SIBO breath test, food sensitivity panel, zonulin.

Toxic burden

Heavy metals, glyphosate, mycotoxins, environmental toxins (Great Plains panel).

Run through Quest, LabCorp, Genova Diagnostics, Diagnostic Solutions, and Great Plains Lab.

What 12 weeks looks like

The path from “your labs are normal” to a real plan.

A typical workup runs about 12 weeks from intake to first protocol recheck. Here is when each thing happens, and what you walk out with.

Day 0Intake

60-minute first visit

Full history, symptom mapping, prior records review. You walk out with the day-one lab order in hand.

Day 1-3Labs drawn

Comprehensive workup drawn

Same-day in clinic or at a partner Quest / LabCorp location of your choice. 100+ markers, scaled to your symptoms.

Day 10-14Results in

Results review + protocol

Second visit. We walk you through every result, identify the root-cause patterns, and hand you a written protocol.

Day 30First check-in

30-day check-in

Short follow-up (in person or telehealth) to fine-tune dosing, troubleshoot, and answer the questions that come up once you start.

Day 90Recheck

Recheck labs + adjust

Targeted recheck panel to measure the response. Protocol calibrated based on what the data shows, not on a calendar.

What We Treat

Our Approach

The Copper Sage Method

A clear, four-step path from dismissed to a real plan. No guesswork, no runaround.

Standard care

7-minute appointment

  • About 8 routine markers
  • Sent home with “labs look normal”
  • Prescription if pushed
Copper Sage

60 minutes plus 100+ markers

  • Full history, real listening
  • Seven panels of root-cause data
  • A protocol built around you

Same chief complaint, two completely different workups. The depth on the right is why most patients see results in 6 to 8 weeks.

1

Listen

A relaxed 60-minute first visit. Bring your story and past labs. We read it all and ask the next question.

2

Investigate

We test 100+ biomarkers across hormones, metabolism, gut, and nutrients. The full picture, not a snapshot.

3

Plan

We walk you through every result and build a personalized protocol around your biology and goals.

4

Optimize

We retest, adjust, and keep refining. Feeling good is the start, not the finish line.

Real Outcomes

What getting answers looks like

Representative patient outcomes. Individual results vary, and every plan is built for the person in the room.

Featured Outcome · Perimenopause

From “it’s just stress” to sleeping through the night

6 weeks

A 47-year-old patient arrived after two years of fatigue, weight gain, and poor sleep, with “normal” labs elsewhere. Full hormone and thyroid panels revealed the real picture. A targeted protocol restored her energy and sleep within six weeks.

Portrait of Rachel M., Copper Sage patient

Rachel M.
Scottsdale, AZ

Low Testosterone

From “low normal” to optimal in 6 weeks

M, 52 – low energy, weight gain, low libido. Baseline total T sat inside the lab “normal” range but well below optimal for symptom resolution.

Baseline

320 ng/dL
Week 6

451 ng/dL
Optimal

500-900 ng/dL

+41%total testosterone, 6 weeks. Free T and energy followed.

Gut Health – SIBO

SIBO cleared in two weeks

F, 38 – chronic bloating, post-meal pain, multiple normal “IBS” workups. GI-MAP plus SIBO breath test pinpointed methane SIBO.

Baseline

78 ppm methane
Day 14

18 ppm
Negative

< 10 ppm

2 weeksbreath test normalized after targeted herbal protocol + diet adjustment.

Medical Weight Loss – GLP-1

HbA1c back in range in 16 weeks

F, 44 – pre-diabetic range HbA1c, 38 lb above target weight, fatigue. Supervised GLP-1 protocol plus metabolic labs.

Baseline

6.4% HbA1c
Week 16

5.4%
Optimal

< 5.6%

-22 lbweight + 1.0 point HbA1c reduction in 16 weeks. GLP-1 plus protocol, not GLP-1 alone.

Good Questions

Before you book

Do you take insurance?

We are a cash-pay clinic, which is what lets us spend 60 minutes with you instead of seven. We provide detailed superbills you can submit to your insurer, and we accept HSA and FSA cards. Pricing is transparent and shared up front.

How is this different from my primary care doctor?

Your PCP is built for high volume and treating disease. We are built for root-cause investigation and optimization. We run broader diagnostics, spend far more time per visit, and build a plan around the underlying cause rather than the surface symptom.

What conditions do you actually help with?

Common reasons people come to us include fatigue, brain fog, perimenopause and menopause symptoms, low testosterone, stubborn weight, thyroid issues, gut problems, poor sleep, and a general sense that something is off despite normal labs.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. Many follow-up visits and consults can happen by secure video for patients across Arizona. Initial diagnostics that require lab work are coordinated near you.

Where are you located?

Our clinic is in the downtown Phoenix at 714 N 5th St, Phoenix, AZ 85004, serving the greater Phoenix metro including Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, and beyond.

How long until I feel better?

Most patients notice meaningful change within 6 to 8 weeks once your protocol is in place. Some shifts (energy, sleep) come faster; others (hormone optimization, gut repair) take 3 to 6 months. We tell you what to expect at visit 2, with timelines tied to your actual labs.

Do I need a referral from my primary care doctor?

No. You can self-refer. We are an out-of-network direct-care clinic. Bring any recent labs you have, and we will request prior records on your behalf if that helps the workup.

Can you work with my current medications or hormones?

Yes. Most patients arrive on prescriptions or supplements from prior providers. We review every active medication, identify interactions and gaps, and coordinate with your prescribing doctor when changes make sense. We never ask you to stop a medication unilaterally.

How does the retesting and monitoring schedule work?

Standard cadence is a comprehensive baseline panel at intake, focused recheck labs at 8 to 12 weeks, then maintenance labs every 6 months. The exact schedule is built into your plan based on what we are optimizing. You always see your results, with explanations.

What is your cancellation policy?

Free reschedule with 24 hours notice. Late cancellations and no-shows incur a fee equal to the visit charge, which is waived for true emergencies. We are also a small team, so the earlier you let us know, the better.
